In CA, the students do not even realize "How Important their Time is for their success!". There are many aspects of Time Management but the main aspects of Time Management in the life of a CA student are prescribed as under:
1) Time Management during the Pre-exam period (During Study)
- Students have to manage time not only during the exam days but also throughout the session.
- Students should segregate their time for study and also for other activities.
- Students should manage to make a routine and strictly follow their routine matters on time.
- Students should set daily short-term and medium-term plans.
- Students should avoid less important activities.
- Students should identify objectives, label tasks and then prioritize in key tasks urgent, key task non-urgent, and not required.
- Students should control interruptions; switch phones to ‘call-divert’ and social networks or online
communication programmes to ‘unavailable’.
2) Time Management during the Exam
- In the exam, students have to complete their paper in 3 hours for a hundred marks paper, it means they have 1.8 minutes for each 1 mark.
- Utilize the 15 minutes reading time very wisely and divide your time as to marks allocated to every question.
- A student gets 18 minutes to solve a 10 marks question.
- Do not spend more than allocated time to any question to avoid losing your temperament in the exam, otherwise, it will cost you less time remaining for the next question especially in FAR-2.
-Most students do the practice of solutions and do not pay attention to questions and consequently waste a lot of time in the exam on reading a question again and again.
- The best practice to avoid panic and disturbance in the exam, try to develop an understanding of questions well during the Pre-exam stage so that you would be able to attempt your paper more smoothly.
